The Camilla Rowe Memorial Scholarship
I haven't talked about this in a while, but you might know that every year we give a scholarship in my mom's name to a deserving student in Albuquerque. The topic of the scholarship changes every year to reflect mom's commitment to three subjects: WWII and the Holocaust, American History, and Speech and Drama. This year will be our fourth year awarding the scholarship, and the essay topic will be "how learning about the Holocaust has affected my views of social justice."
We now have a lovely website that husband built so you can learn more about the scholarship and how to donate: www.camillarowe.org. Also, please come befriend us at MySpace as well if you'd like. We'd love to have you, and if you know of any candidates graduating from El Dorado or La Cueva this year who'd be appropriate for the scholarship, please pass the information along to them.
Also, if anyone is in need of a lawyer in the fair state of New Mexico, my cousin John Duran is now opening up his law practice, and we helped him with his site as well: www.johnduranlaw.com. I hope you don't need a lawyer but if for some reason you do, he's your guy.
