What I've been up to the last week or so...

Last Thursday we made our way up to Yosemite. By the time we got to the southern edge where we were staying, we were dog tired, but we had to go check in on Wawona and the lovely covered bridge.Soaking up the love. The next day, we made our way into Yosemite Valley. This is the view when you first come around the mountain. It's stunning.Last time we went to Yosemite, it was the fall and the waterfalls were all dried up. This time they were there in all their raging glory. This is Bridalveil Falls. It was absolutely gorgeous and overpowering. It took our breath away.
A nice man took this picture of us in front of Lower Yosemite Falls. We took a long hike up to Mirror Lake, which didn't exist when we were there last. This is Half Dome reflected in Mirror Lake.Half Dome in all its imposing glory towering over us.Beautiful husband. It's hard to see it here, but this gorgeous, knotted tree was growing up out of the rock in the center.A moment of freedom.Leaving the park reluctantly at the end of the day as the moon rose.
One final display of beauty...
...to say goodbye.

The next day, we drove down to Fresno for the engagement of my cousin John to Komal. Aren't they gorgeous? Komal looked like a goddess. It was a lush, lavish affair. This was right after John and Komal exchanged rings.John surrounded by beautiful women and saffron on his forehead. I cannot wait to get a saree for the wedding! The whole beautiful family.
The dance later was fantastic! They even carried John and Uncle Don at one point around the dance floor. This family knows how to get down. The wedding is in August. It is going to rock.

So then we got home and Chuck's beautiful children were in town. We went to Disneyland together.
Here's Julie with the kids. These two hit it off in a big way. They referred to each other as Dr. 9 and Mr. Bootex.

In all that time I've also managed to start a new job for a president at WB. Beth had her baby. Did a lot of preparation for a scene in class. Saw one of my favorite comedians perform. Fixed my blog so it now has an RSS and Atom feed (if you know what I'm talking about, you know what to do - or you can always scroll to the bottom of this blog and subscribe or if you use Firefox, click on the icon in the address bar). Broke my archives (they were sort of already broken, I just broke them more). Spent hours trying to fix them. Spent hours trying to figure out other formatting issues with Blogger. Served yummy Easter breakfast this morning. Went to the Getty Villa in Malibu and saw ancient mosaics. Spent hours preparing this blog entry, and looking back at it the pictures don't even remotely do any of it justice. *sigh*

Yosemite is beautiful! It looks like a relaxing way to spend a few days.

And thank you for posting pictures of
Chuck's children. Can you believe I have never seen them in real life or photos?? They are adorable.

This was the first time I'd seen E since she was little, and the very first time we'd met L. They're so sweet. It was really great.
