Wow, what an amazing weekend!

On Thursday night, Shawn came to the show, which was a real treat. Then when I got to the show on Friday night, I could hear my mother-in-law, Kathy, laughing in the audience. Sure enough, Leonard and Kathy had come all the way out here (on a TRAIN, no less) to see the show! It was really great. Chuck and David were there, too. I feel so blessed to be so supported by those I love.

So because they were here, we got to go do fun stuff this weekend. On Saturday, we went to the newly re-opened Griffith Observatory, which has been taunting us for the last four years being closed, sitting like a Grecian oracle atop the hills above our home. It's a bloody 93 MILLION DOLLAR renovation, so you'd better like it. We had a great time. The planetarium show is very impressive, and oh so very Hollywood. I love having my mind blown by the vastness of space. Things are so very far beyond our ability to comprehend. It's painful in the best way. I plan on going back when the crowds have died down a bit and truly absorb all the information. Also, apparently in the evenings between 7 and 9:30 you can go up there and look through the big telescope for free.

Saturday night was absolutely magic, because some of my bestest friends in the whole world came to the show: Tifanie, Sam, Mary, Aaron, Mikey, and Matt. It felt so good to have them there, looking all spectacular and gorgeous in the front row. I was so very happy to feel their smiles in the audience. Again, I am so lucky.

Sunday, the parentals and I had a nice breakfast at Eat Well and then drove around the hills of Silverlake admiring houses. I went off to the show and they finally got to see the Gene Autry museum in Griffith Park, which is really fun.

And now I'm back at work, in light-under-a-bushel mode, and David's parents have choo choo-ed their way back to ABQ. *sigh*
