The LA Times review is in. Not bad, not bad at all!! It's long-ish, so I will amend with the good quotes:

This deftly performed, sweetly appointed West Coast premiere of the 1995 chamber musical about self-realization and sexual identity in East Texas revels in post-Sondheim storytelling. Based on Edward Swift's 1978 cult novel, "Splendora" follows enigmatic Jessica Gatewood (Adriana Róze), a Victorian-clad sprite who suggests a saner Blanche DuBois (Shawn would be proud). Ben Hensley exposes Timothy's neuroses rather early, yet still blooms against Róze's refined, trilling aplomb and Gregory's open-throated sensitivity.

I'm not even going to speculate on what the implication of "open-throated sensitivity" means in a gay theater.

If you want I can give you a demonstration...oh snap!
