*rubbing eyes* ...huh? *shuffling feet through house* ...what? *blink*
Ok, ok. Wake up. Stuff and things.
I'm not sure if I've mentioned this yet, but for some reason this fall I have actual friends working on actual shows on TV. I am now here to endorse the following: Jericho, written and produced by our friend Stephen Chbosky, is pretty much all my childhood nightmares come to life (but I mean that in a good way). That is on CBS at 8PM PST Wednesdays.
Then, of course, there's The Class, starring Jesse, which airs on CBS on Mondays at 8:30 PM PST. Jesse is lucky to have a really interesting, complex character for a sitcom, plus now he's working with Sara Gilbert, which is just cool. I'm so proud and excited for my friends. It's amazing how much energy goes into all of this process of making art; how much time it takes to see real results. I'm watching my friends write amazing plays and debate on CNN and tour Europe with their band and all sorts of exciting things.
I tip my hat to all of you who stuck it out thus far, and for everything you've sacrificed to get where you are. It's been worth it, and there's so much more to come.
We have been in tech and last night was first dress. The show is coming together. In its own way. In its own time. Only a few days more until we open. *blinking again*
Hubby and I did get to see The Prestige, and I have only one thing to say to you: David Bowie as Nikola Tesla. Seriously. I went in knowing nothing about anything and when he came on I squealed like a teenage fanboy. So...yeah. There's that.
*going back into cave to hibernate*

That is so cool. I don't watch much TV, but I caught the pilot episode of Jericho. Very nicely done. I'm just sorry I won't be able to get out there for your show. I'll be thinking of you through it, though. Tristen | Homepage | 10.27.06 - 8:48 am | #
