Well.

Really, the weirdest thing just happened to me. I sort of WON! Something! HUGE!

There was a big lunch presentation today on the lot from the Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment department. They were there to highlight all the big things that WB is doing in the video game world. We were all there because of the promise of free games that they had bandied about.

So, it's two hours into it, all the games are stuff like Dirty Harry and Justice League and Manly Man 2006 or whatever, and they finally start getting to the prizes. They gave away 2 Nintendo DS Lites, which was really the coolest thing, then they gave away a PS2, and then they went for the big old grand prize of an XBox 360 with 8 games and all sorts of extra goodies like online subscription and stuff, blah blah blah, they're calling the number out, I'm spacing out...and then I realize, they totally called my number!

I went screaming down the aisle (up to that point the winners were all extremely boring, so I had to whoop it up), and they asked my name and what department I worked in and I said, "adrianaroze...SPHERION TEMP!" and the crowd went wild. At first I thought I might not be qualified to win since I'm not a real employee, but I guess it was ok because I'm sitting here staring at a GIANT gift basket of video game dork heaven.

I got back to my desk and I guess the word had already spread around the lot because the mailman came in all excited, and then another mystery dude came in and offered money for it (he didn't name a price and I was rather flustered so I told him to go away). People were panting at it like it was fresh meat. Now it's just sitting there in the corner staring at me.

See, we're a Nintendo family. If I had won a new Wii system (which is not out till winter), I'd probably be doing freakout backflips right now. But it's XBox. All the games are like "Beheading The Weak, pt4: Bloodfeud," and "Gut Brigade Army Battalion" and crap like that. Give me Mario and Zelda over that any old day.

So I'm going to stare at it for a while until I figure out what to do. I figure this is karmic payback for laying David off in two weeks. THANKS, Warner Bros!!!

David and Tifanie, you are adorable and I love your beautiful minds.

Awesome! Sam just got one of those (mostly because of the scene in "The Breakup"). I have not tried it yet, but we have Lego Star Wars and apparently we can play each other remotely if you wanna. Yay, you're a winner!

Well you certainly can't beat free!

Dude, 'Beheading The Weak, Pt2: Severance Check' was the height of the franchise. It just got commercial after that.
