Well, Aunt Maria and Uncle Don, I guess we have your novena to thank because the strangest thing has happened. Yesterday, David got a call from his Warner Bros boss asking him to come back as a long-term temp to his old job because (SURPRISE!) they really need him. So before we've even had a chance to think about it, he's back at work today, in his same cubicle, that apparently has not been touched since he left.
Life is so, so, SO weird. He had just finished his last severance pay last week. It's a nice, crappy, and nice and crappy kind of feeling. I shake my fist at you, weird corporations! And I smile because now hubby is here again and that means we can have lunch. David said the lesson he's learned, if there's a lesson, is to "expect anything".
...and thank you all for your honest and illuminating comments on the last post. I appreciate that you are willing to speak, and I love hearing what you have to say. You all rock me.

That's pretty cool, if you ask me. Now they see the error of their ways, and would be loathe to err in the same way again. Congrats, David! tifanie | 02.02.06 - 1:36 pm | #
I thought that it couldn't get funnier, but it can. It can get way, way funnier:
